| Product details |
I purchased this several years ago, but due to an injury, I was no longer able to practice kendo, so I haven't used it much. While there is some minor damage, I believe it's in very good condition overall. With the new school year starting and many people beginning kendo, I decided to list it hoping someone else can use it. The price point is higher than the beginner's protective gear often purchased by school clubs, so I believe the quality is good and it will last a long time. It features a safety guard to protect the throat, which wasn't common in the past, and the structure of the face grill provides a wider field of vision, which is a more recent innovation. For sizing, I've attached an email from when I purchased it as an image, so please check there. For reference, I am around 170 cm tall and weigh around 65 kg, and it fit me without any issues. Please consider this as a rough guide only. There's a print on the back of the protective gear bag that transferred there at some point, and I couldn't remove it even with a damp cloth. It's mostly hidden, so I don't think it will be noticeable during regular use. Also, a name is still present. The embroidery can likely be removed, and the printed name can be dealt with by sanding or similar methods. If you are concerned about these details, please refrain from purchasing. I would prefer that only those who understand it is a used item purchase it. Click here for the manufacturer's site
