EAK (EARLY AMERICAN K), commonly known as Ura K (Reverse K). I acquired these used, but I tend to use slightly thinner hi-hats myself, so I'm offering them to someone who can make good use of them. There is a slight warp, but a good sound can be achieved with adjustment of the fit (see image). Below is an AI-generated summary. The EAK (Early American K) hi-hats are rare K Zildjians produced in the US from the early to mid-1980s. They retain the craftsmanship of hand hammering, offering a dark, warm sound with a modern crispness, making them highly popular for their sound on classic acoustic albums. Features Tone: Dark and acoustic sound. While retaining the characteristic K shimmer, they have a calm resonance without being harsh. Hammering: A mix of hand and machine hammering. Close to OLD K, with visible hammering marks that show a strong sense of handcraftsmanship. Logo: Commonly features the Ura K specification, with the logo printed on the underside. Usage: Ideal for jazz, fusion, and acoustic music. Click here for the manufacturer's site
