Please see picture of damaged corner. Vintage Pangburn's Golden Gift Milk Chocolates candy box. The box features an embossed gold foil wrap with a classic floral damask pattern and elegant purple typography. Historical Overview of Pangburn's Chocolate Co. Origin: Founded by chemist and entrepreneur Hugh T. Pangburn in 1914. Roots: The company began in the kitchen of his drugstore on Houston Street in Fort Worth, Texas. Signature Confection: Known best for creating Millionaires—decadent milk chocolate clusters featuring Texas pecans, caramel, and a touch of honey. Acquisition: The original Fort Worth operations closed in February 1999, at which point the brand and its legacy recipes were acquired by Russell Stover Candies. Packaging Details This specific gold foil box style was used for multi-piece gift assortments, predominantly distributed throughout mid-century decades. Because the box indicates a One Pound Net weight and lacks modern barcode markings or modern zip codes on its standard factory stamps, it is widely sought after by collectors of vintage Texas advertising and candy ephemera. The Vintage Pangburn's Golden Gift Milk Chocolates Candy Box is a sought-after collectible from the 1950s, featuring a charming design that showcases the brand's original advertising approach. This candy box, in a luxurious gold color, hails from Fort Worth, Texas, making it a unique piece of memorabilia that captures the nostalgia of classic American sweets.
