Lupton, New York. The original cover is marked Price, Ten Cents and copyright 1893. This fascinating Victorian-era instructional manual contains designs, patterns and directions for a wide variety of period needlework and decorative arts, including: • Knitting and crocheting • Lace-making • Artistic embroidery • Shawls and garments • Decorative lace patterns • Feather-stitch and other embroidery techniques • Gold cord and gold braid work • Decorative household and personal accessories llustrated throughout with numerous period engravings and pattern examples. Number of Pages: 64 - Size: 7.75 x 5.75 Condition: Antique and well over 130 years old with substantial age-related wear. Cover and pages show toning, staining, creasing and edge wear. The cover has tears, losses and fragile areas, particularly around the edges/spine. Binding is worn and delicate. Interior pages remain quite readable and display beautifully.
