Sourced in France. Estimated Age: Circa 1870s The Grand Est region, located in northeastern France, is an area where the territory shifted between Germany and France for 1000 years, a borderland where both cultures intermingle. The Lorraine chair, passed down and loved for a long time, is a traditional folk craft furniture. It exhibits a well-balanced rustic charm and neatness found in this region, possessing a quiet elegance. While it is a chair for sitting, it also enhances the atmosphere of a space simply by being placed there. The openwork backrest, like a picture frame, highlights the wall and empty space. Place a single flower on the flat seat. Or a decorative object. It is recommended as a display chair because it makes even casual items look beautiful, like a scene from a still life painting. This Lorraine chair features an elaborately designed top part of the backrest, which differs from a perfectly square backrest and makes it an elegant piece. Wood joint looseness and wobbling have been maintained. ■ Size Width approx. 39cm Depth approx. 36.5cm Height approx. 91.5cm Seat height approx. 40cm *Dimensions listed are the maximum measurements. *As this is an antique item, measurements may vary slightly depending on the point of measurement. Please understand this in advance. ◆Important Notes When Purchasing Furniture◆ ・Please be sure to read the shopping guide before purchasing. ・For large furniture, please confirm the access route for delivery in advance. ・Please understand that the actual product may differ slightly in color and wood grain from the photos shown. ・As it is difficult to fully showcase all signs of age-related deterioration and minor scratches in photographs, please place your order with a thorough understanding of the characteristics of used furniture. ・As this is a used item, there may be scratches, dirt, or missing parts. ・Discoloration, scuffs, scratches, fraying, and crazing that have occurred over time are characteristic of antiques, so we ask for your understanding as the charm of antique and old tools. ・If you would like to know more about specific areas of concern or detailed conditions, please contact us before purchasing. ・This item is also sold in our physical store.
