Thank you for viewing. This is a sturdy, large Tokoname-ware kame (round pot) with the character 見 (mi) engraved on the bottom. The deep, lustrous amber glaze is beautiful, exuding a Showa retro charm and dignity. Such a large size with an engraved mark in good condition is extremely rare. [Features] Reliable Quality: The 見 (mi) character is engraved within a square frame on the bottom, indicating it is a trustworthy domestic product made in its region of origin. Amber Glaze Finish: Resistant to dirt, acids, and salts, making it ideal for long-term storage of items like miso and pickled plums. Versatile Use: Its large capacity is perfect for authentic homemade miso and nukazuke pickles. Furthermore, its depth and width make it suitable as a fishbowl for medaka, a water lily pot, or as a striking umbrella stand or decorative object for Japanese-style interiors. [Size (approx.)] Height: 43.5 cm Mouth Diameter (Outer): 40.0 cm Maximum Body Diameter: 38.0 cm *Please carefully check the dimensions of your space, as this is a considerably large item. [Condition] No cracks, chips, or fissures are apparent. This item has been stored indoors and has been carefully cleaned for this listing. There are some slight color variations from the manufacturing process on the bottom and sides, as well as very minor scuffs due to age, but it is in exceptionally beautiful condition, retaining its antique charm. [Shipping and Packaging] As this is a heavy, fragile item, it will be meticulously packaged for shipping. This is a masterpiece that allows you to appreciate the quality of Japanese craftsmanship. We hope to pass it on to someone who appreciates antique tools and traditional crafts, and who will cherish its use. KS Click here for the manufacturer's site
