The 498T humbucker™, a high-output version of the 490T, features an Alnico 5 magnet for a powerful response with an emphasis on the upper mids, delivering long sustain. The 498T is ideal for HR/HM (Hard Rock/Heavy Metal) distorted tones, characterized by its strong, powerful output. The 498T's pole pieces are spaced for optimal clearance over bridge-side strings, producing powerful leads and thick riffs without sacrificing tonal clarity. The 498T utilizes 4-conductor wiring for series, parallel, and coil-split capabilities, and features wax potting to reduce feedback. Springs and screws for installation are included.
