Yamaguchi Bijutsu Orimono Fukuro Obi (Kimono Sash) Length: Approx. 444cm Width: Approx. 31cm Already tailored Guard processing applied Includes remnant fabric New, unworn Delicate Karori weaving using luxurious silk threads such as Usui Ogon (pale gold) creates the long leaves of the Daioh Matsu (Emperor Pine), which symbolizes warding off evil and longevity, on a pure and elegant ivory base. This masterpiece exudes refinement with a feminine radiance, befitting a prestigious brand. The three-pronged leaves of the Daioh Matsu are said to bestow three blessings: warding off evil, longevity, and wealth accumulation. Furthermore, the Daioh Matsu has long been referred to as Sanko no Matsu (Pine of the Three Prongs). *Sanko refers to the three concepts in Buddhism: wisdom, compassion, and sincerity. The three-parted tips of the Daioh Matsu leaves are said to symbolize these three virtues, and there is a legend that possessing these pine needles bestows these three blessings. The Daioh Matsu pattern is a highly auspicious motif, and its design is used in the Matsu no Ma (Pine Room) of the Imperial Palace. While not overly ornate, it possesses an absolute presence, exuding understated elegance and dignity. Suitable for formal occasions when paired with Mon-tsuki Muji (plain formal kimono), Tsukesage, Homongi, or Iro-tomesode. Can also be used for semi-formal occasions with Iro-muji or Tsukesage. Intended to be worn for New Year's formal attire, but I opted for a different obi, so it is new and unworn.
