N O.517 ⭕️ Master Craftsman Morihide Taro, Tsugaru-style On-yu Kokeshi ⭕️ Rare, beautiful condition with cellophane, Daruma Kokeshi, golden eyes Master Craftsman Morihide Taro is the most renowned master craftsman in our country. Currently, his grandson, Master Craftsman Moritsuo, carries on his techniques. [1] Height: 93mm [2] Base width: 44mm Body width: 78mm [3] Material: Itaya Maple ◉ Work This piece is from approximately 44 years ago. Over time, the polishing wax has deeply permeated the Itaya maple wood, giving it an amber hue. It is completely different from when it was newly made, conveying the passage of time and demonstrating how the value of the work has increased. It comes with the original cellophane from the time of production. It has been stored in a dark room, so there is no fading whatsoever. Unusually, the eyeballs are painted in gold, enhancing the dignity of the Daruma. On the bottom of the body, it is signed in beautiful regular script: Morihide Taro, 87th Work. The red ceremonial robe, said to ward off evil, is painted thickly and beautifully throughout. However, there are two spots of ink transfer on the right side of the robe, from contact with the hand. Please, by all means, acquire a piece by this master craftsman. Experience the satisfaction and awe that only the owner will know. The overall balance is flawless, and it feels like a work imbued with spirit down to the finest details. ◉ Master Craftsman Morihide Taro, with his exquisite and superb techniques, or Master Craftsman Ogura Kutarou, who constantly aims for new heights with his ever-changing creations – both masters' works are of great interest. ※ In the best condition. This is a highly sought-after piece for collectors who appreciate authentic kokeshi as crafts. Please consider it. ◉ Morihide Taro (1895-1986) ◉ Mori Shinichi (Taro's second son, 1921-2013) ◉ Master Craftsman Mori Mitsuo (Shinichi's third son, 1955-) ◉ Mori Ryosuke (Mitsuo's second son, 1996-) ※ Kijiyama Kokeshi, Kawatsura Kokeshi Ogura Kutarou, Abe Heishirou, Ito Tuneji, Takahashi Yuji, Satou Shuichi, Onodera Masanori, Onodera Shigeichi, Sasaki Haruo, Takahashi Hisamune, Onodera Kouraku ※ On-yu Kokeshi Morihide Taro, Okuse Tessen, Satou Zenji, Satou Yoshiki, Mori Mitsuo, Mori Mitsuo ◉ Please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to minor imperfections. ※ Please check the images thoroughly.
