Absolutely beautiful vintage 1960s Empoli Italian art glass compote featuring a rich amber color and an elegant Mid-Century Modern silhouette. This striking footed dish features a wide, shallow bowl with a gently scalloped rim, supported by a gorgeous hand-formed twisted glass stem and broad circular foot. The sculptural twisted stem is especially eye-catching and gives the piece that unmistakable decorative quality associated with mid-century Italian art glass. The warm amber/honey-colored glass beautifully catches and reflects the light, while the combination of the flowing bowl and dramatic stem makes this an impressive display piece from every angle. A wonderful example of Mid-Century Modern Italian/Empoli-style art glass, perfect as a compote, candy dish, centerpiece, decorative pedestal bowl, or addition to a collection of vintage Italian glass. Pre-loved vintage condition with normal age-related wear consistent with its age. Please review all photos carefully for exact condition, glass characteristics, base, rim, and overall appearance. Measurements are shown in the photos when provided. A beautiful statement piece for collectors of Empoli glass, Italian art glass, 1960s décor, amber glass, and Mid-Century Modern design.
