This is a single-board table that carefully brings out the charm of cedar wood, aged over many years, crafted by Kikoriya (woodcutters) who work with the mountains. Experience the soft wood grain created by nature and the warm texture unique to cedar. Because it's natural wood with a different expression for each piece, you can enjoy a one-of-a-kind presence. Although small, it has a solid presence and adds a touch of natural gentleness to your space. This product is made using the traditional Japanese underwater drying method. After felling, the wood is submerged in water to remove sap and excess components, followed by approximately 5 years of natural drying. By drying slowly and carefully over time, we enhance the natural beauty of the cedar and aim for a state that is resistant to warping and cracking. The finish is achieved by applying Watco oil twice, followed by a final polish with natural beeswax. You can feel the smooth texture, the soft warmth characteristic of cedar, and the calm aesthetic unique to natural materials. The legs are also made from the same cedar wood as the tabletop, with a substantial thickness for a robust finish. This creates a cohesive look and a unified design, inherent to natural wood. It can be used in various ways, such as a side table next to a sofa, a low table for a Japanese-style room, a stand for displaying houseplants, or a platform for pets. The legs are detachable. The table will be packed with the legs removed for shipping.
