Vintage novelty cufflinks designed as miniature KLG spark plugs, associated with classic British automotive engineering. KLG (Kenelm Lee Guinness) spark plugs were historically used in high-performance engines including Bentley and Rolls-Royce automobiles, and aviation. Each cufflink resembles a detailed spark plug with a white ceramic-style insulator printed with the red KLG name and gold-tone metal components forming the hex nut and threaded base. The spark plug elements are connected to classic oval cufflink backs with short chain links, allowing them to move naturally when worn. The design closely replicates the structure of real spark plugs, giving them a mechanical appearance that makes them distinctive conversation pieces for car enthusiasts, mechanics, and collectors of automotive memorabilia. Condition Excellent vintage condition. The red KLG lettering is crisp and clearly visible. The gold-tone plating remains bright and clean with minimal signs of wear. The ceramic-style centers appear clean and well preserved. Chain links and cufflink backs show little handling wear and the pair appears to have been rarely worn, possibly unused. Details Brand reference: KLG spark plugs (Kenelm Lee Guinness) Associated automobiles: Bentley and Rolls-Royce Design: miniature spark plug cufflinks Material: gold-tone metal with ceramic-style center I understand these were awarded to the previous owner as a prize in a Bentley car competition.
