【Adjusted】Top-of-the-line Japanese-made JOSEF BGS-1 Semi-Automatic Oboe Current model reference price: ¥1,259,500 Fully adjusted, joint corks replaced, ready to play immediately. Used Oboe Josef GS-1 Current model reference price: Approx. ¥1.26 million (BGS-1) This is a high-end model from the Japanese manufacturer Josef. This unit was produced when the workshop was located in Tokyo. This model, which has reigned as a top-tier instrument since its inception, is equivalent to Yamaha's custom models such as the YOB-831. The instrument features silver-plated keys, with some parts such as key posts and joint rings finished in pink gold plating (PGP). The silver plating on the keys has some dullness and scratches. Please refer to the photos. The interior of the storage case is in good condition, but the exterior has noticeable damage. It can be carried without issue if placed in a tote bag. Fully adjusted and joint corks replaced at a specialized double reed workshop in Tokyo, ready to play immediately. Adjustment Details: Full adjustment Joint cork replacement Left F key angle adjustment Cork adjustment Spring adjustment This JOSEF instrument has been adjusted by a specialized double reed repair shop in Tokyo, frequented by professional musicians. It is in good condition and highly regarded. We recommend this oboe for intermediate to advanced players considering models such as the YAMAHA YOB-831, Marigaux 901, or Rigoutat Symphony, suitable for both concert bands and classical music.
