Up for sale is a beautiful, fully functional Canon AE-1 Program paired with the razor-sharp Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 prime lens. Widely considered the best camera for film photography students and enthusiasts, this kit features the famous Program mode for auto-exposure ease alongside complete manual controls. Condition Breakdown * Lubricated & Squeak-Free: This camera has undergone a lubrication to eliminate the notorious Canon shutter cough/squeak. The mirror brake mechanism runs flawlessly, smoothly, and quietly. * Optics & Glass: The 50mm f/1.8 lens is pristine. Absolutely no haze, no fungus, and no scratches. The aperture blades are clean and snappy, and the focus ring rotates smoothly. * Electronics & Metering: Fully tested and working perfectly. The internal light meter is highly accurate and responsive. The LED display inside the viewfinder glows bright and clear. * Cosmetics & Mechanics: Cosmetically beautiful camera body with minimal vintage wear. Shutter fires accurately at all speeds, and the film advance lever operates perfectly. * Viewfinder Note (100% Transparency): The viewfinder focuses perfectly and is clear of dust. Please note that there are light, extremely precise geometric lines/arcs visible in the upper-left and lower-left corner margins. This is a purely cosmetic artifact that does not show on the photographs. Otherwise viewfinder focuses perfectly and has no dust/debris.
