This is a 14-pound Ebonite Polaris bowling ball. It has been used for approximately 80 games and shows signs of use and scratches as pictured. The ball has been stored indoors in a climate-controlled environment, away from direct sunlight. Product details are as follows: Coverstock: GSV-3 SOLID Core: POLARIS Surface Finish: 1500 MICRO PAD RG: 2.470 ΔRG: 0.048 MB: 0.018 Color: Orange/Sky/Purple Weight: 14 pounds Lane Condition: Medium to Heavy With stricter rules aimed at maintaining competitive fairness, the USBC has imposed limitations on oil absorption rates, leading some to believe that coverstock development might slow down. However, Ebonite, a leader in material development, has been compelled to innovate amidst intense competition. By utilizing additives, they have chemically succeeded in developing GSV-3, a new coverstock that surpasses GSV2.0 in traction and hooking potential. At this juncture, Ebonite embarked on developing a ball that would outperform their long-standing flagship, The Win Solid, known for being the strongest and most hooking ball in their lineup. To exceed the performance of this past masterpiece, they expedited the integration of their manufacturing plant's latest technology, the Dual Density Core. The Polaris Core was designed with a focus on high rotational characteristics to ensure stable ball motion even on oil, achieving a strong and sustained backend reaction. This is achieved through a separate structure consisting of a uniquely shaped main core and a friction disc positioned at the bottom. The combination of this new coverstock and new core has resulted in a ball that not only exhibits powerful traction on oil but also offers an unusually wide hooking range for an oil ball. This culmination of the latest technology, the Polaris, makes it possible to attack oil patterns with a wider hooking line than previously thought possible, not only on fresh conditions at the start of play but also on baby and long oil patterns.
