Wonderful vintage Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer “In the Snow” snow globe manufactured by The Driss Co. of Chicago, Illinois and marked Made in U.S.A. This charming mid-century Christmas collectible features Rudolph standing amid a flurry of white snow inside a clear globe mounted on a classic bright red molded plastic base. The original front label remains intact and reads: “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer – IN THE SNOW” The underside is molded: THE DRISS CO. CHICAGO, ILL. MADE IN U.S.A. Comparable examples date this Driss Rudolph design to approximately the 1950s–early 1960s. Condition: Good vintage condition for its age. There is noticeable age-related liquid evaporation resulting in a large air pocket at the top of the globe. Rudolph remains intact inside and there is still plenty of original white snow. The red plastic base appears intact with light surface wear, and the original paper label shows minor age wear while remaining remarkably clear and readable. No obvious cracks noted in the globe. This piece has not been refilled or restored. Please review all photos closely as part of the condition description.
