Thank you for viewing. This is a powerful cross-section hibachi (brazier) made with luxurious use of Tagayasan (Eisenwood), a top-grade hardwood. As its name, meaning wood like an iron sword, suggests, it is characterized by its extremely hard and heavy texture. The beautiful arrow-feather pattern grain, unique to Tagayasan, is clearly visible from the sides to the top, making this a masterpiece that allows you to fully enjoy the powerful natural beauty of the wood. Such a large-diameter, thick-cut stump hibachi made of Tagayasan is rare in the market. It will be the centerpiece of a Japanese-style room in an old house, and will also exude an overwhelming presence as a display in a high-class inn or store. It is very heavy and a high-quality piece with beautiful burl and curly grain. This is a masterpiece that highlights the heavy wood quality and grain unique to Eisenwood. Perfect for store fixtures, old houses, and Japanese-style interiors. [Product Details] • Material: Tagayasan (Eisenwood / Ebony) • Shape: Cross-section, hollowed out • Size (approx.): Diameter 59cm x Height 30cm • Weight: Approx. 44kg • Accessories: Includes copper insert (inner pot) [Condition and Assessment] There are minor cracks due to natural wood and scuffs from age, but there are no major cracks or wobbling, and it is in very good condition for an antique item. The copper insert is also included, making it usable. 1. Hollowed out: Instead of being joined together, this is hollowed out from a single large tree, a luxurious one-piece construction. The unique wavy pattern shown in the 5th photo is the superb arrow-feather grain that enthusiasts favor most. 2. Rarity of size: A diameter of 59cm for Tagayasan means the original log was a considerably large tree (giant tree). This large size is superb! Click here for the manufacturer's site
