An exceptionally elegant pair of vintage Misanase long white leather evening gloves, made in West Germany and beautifully finished with a 100% real silk lining. These dramatic gloves feature an elongated opera-length silhouette, extending well beyond the wrist for the polished formal look synonymous with mid-century evening and occasion dressing. The exterior is made from an exceptionally soft, thin and supple genuine leather with a delicate natural grain. Its remarkably soft hand and fine texture are consistent with luxury glove leathers such as lambskin or kid, although the exact hide is not specified on the surviving manufacturer’s label and is therefore not represented as confirmed. The interior retains its original Misanase label: MISANASE LINING 100% REAL SILK MADE IN WEST GERMANY SIZE 6½ The combination of genuine leather, pure silk lining and long formal construction places these well above the ordinary fabric evening gloves produced during the period. Estimated Era: 1950s–1960s Brand: Misanase Origin: West Germany Marked Size: 6½ Color: White / soft ivory-white Exterior: Genuine leather; exact hide unmarked Lining: 100% real silk Style: Long evening / opera-length gloves A beautiful surviving example of mid-century European formal accessories—ideal for a vintage bridal ensemble, formalwear collection, fashion archive, theatrical wardrobe or collector of exceptionally made vintage gloves.
