A striking vintage Japanese textile by Sasakura Genshōdō (Sasakura Gensho), created in rich indigo blue with a beautifully spaced composition of traditional chanoyu tea ceremony implements. Stylized chawan bowls, chasen whisks, tea containers, ladles and other utensils appear in crisp white and pale blue against the textured cotton ground. Designed as a purpose-made decorative hanging, this substantial single-panel piece has an original integrated rod pocket—not a later alteration. Its 56 x 44 scale gives it the presence of true textile art while remaining easy to display in a tea room, dining space, meditation room or Japandi-inspired interior.
